Catchment wastewater rehabilitation including Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, manhole rehabilitation, private lateral lining and lateral connection repair.
This project was undertaken as part of an infiltration and inflow study carried out in the Hillsborough catchment. The study was carried out to determine what the benefit of rehabilitating the total sewer network would be.
CIPP lining was used to rehabilitate all sewer pipes in the network that had shown any tendency to allow infiltration during the initial scoping of the project. Manholes were tested and those not meeting the required standard were rehabilitated using calcium aluminate sprayed onto the cleaned manhole surface.
Private lateral pipes were lined as well and junctions between the laterals and the main lines were rehabilitated using a lateral junction repair (LJR) system developed in-house by PipeWorks. The LJRs installed used a similar resin and felt to the main line and lateral lining resulting in a fully closed system once installed.
Customer liaison was a key result area of the project and PipeWorks managed this to good effect using our Customer Liaison Manager. |
