This project consisted of the installation of:
- 740m of 225mm ID PE Pipe
- 60m x 450mm ID PE Pipe
- Construction of twenty seven manholes
- Construction of five Storm Water outlets
Major excavations and manhole/structure installations were required to separate sewer and storm water systems for fifty-three private properties in Orakei.
Prior to the commencement of any work a signed 'property access agreement' was required for each property affected by the works.
Due to the location of the works namely, the outfalls into the Orakei Basin, stringent Environmental Resource Consent conditions were required to be adhered to. PipeWorks won a New Zealand Contractors Federation merit award for their contribution to the environmental protection on this project. All of which were complied with. Building permits were required for every private property that was separated. These were required to be signed off by the council before a Code of Compliance Certificate could be issued.
The works were completed over an 8-month period on time and under budget. |
