Trenchless technologies are less disruptive than open-excavation methods of pipeline works and considerably more environmentally friendly than traditional methods. Current methods used include Cured in Place Pipe lining (CIPP), Micro-tunnelling and Directional Drilling.

2011 Environmental Award for Birkdale Sewer Separation

PipeWorks was the recipient of a 2011 New Zealand Contractors’ Federation Environmental Award for Category 3 – Projects between $2 and $10 million for the Birkdale B Sewer Separation in Auckland.

The project was the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
